Hi there! I'm Christy Sohie, the founder and creative designer of Sage & Rue. I started my small stationery and paper goods business out of a love for beautiful art that can be purposeful for everyday living. With a passion for originality and a background in graphic design, I strive to use my skills to create stationery and paper goods that encourage others to pursue and share wisdom, grace, and truth daily.

In addition to growing Sage & Rue, I enjoy exploring my hometown of Old Towne Orange, CA with my husband of 6 years and baby girl. Some of my favorite things include dinosaurs (my husband actually proposed to me with a dino theme!), striped tees, black and white photos, and citrus-scented candles. Even more, I'm a sinner who has been saved by grace and loves the Lord deeply. As a result, you'll notice hints of gospel truths in much of my work.

The Studio

I launched Sage & Rue in April 2014, offering whimsical greeting cards created with handcut paper on Etsy. Since then, I've grown my shop to include stationery and home decor made with my original, hand-painted, watercolor artwork. My shop has also expanded beyond Etsy, taking part in local markets.
